FAQs

I wrote a book! Will you stock it?

Congratulations! Writing a book is such a big accomplishment! We are currently reviewing submissions from authors who’s books are available on Ingram, or are local to Central Texas. If this is you, please send an ARC to us, either digitally or physically to review. We are only able to stock 1-2 copies of any given book at a time.

If your book is not available via Ingram, and you do not live locally, we are sorry, but we are not able to stock it at this time.

I wrote a book! Can I do an event?

That’s awesome! We welcome our local authors, and those visiting, to promote their books at PBB! We do need at least two weeks notice to ensure we do not have any conflicting events scheduled, and to put your visit on our upcoming events calendar. Please note that while we will share our calendar with our friends, it is the author’s responsibility to cross promote your visit and to bring 10+ copies of your book for sale during the event.

The most successful events typically have an interactive element for our young friends to engage with you.

  • Events are done via consignment, with all purchases running through PBB.

  • After the event, you will need to send us an invoice for the amount sold.

  • The commission rate must be pre-agreed at the time of scheduling.

I own a local business and would love to do a pop up event at your store!

Whew! Owning a business is a big job! We love to support local entrepreneurs whenever possible. We have a few events scheduled during the year in which pop ups at the store make a lot of sense:

  • July’s Find Waldo Local wrap party

  • Any weekend around Back to School

  • PBB’s Anniversary party each December

Please note that we need at least two weeks notice to ensure we do not have any conflicting events scheduled, and to put your visit on our upcoming events calendar. While we will share our calendar with our friends, it is the your responsibility to cross promote your visit.

There is currently no charge for pop up events at PBB; though we do appreciate creative opportunities to join you and your friends in return!

I own a local business and would love to do a collaboration project or program with you!

This is my favorite! We love working together with other businesses to promote a culture of literacy in Central Texas! If your collaboration idea is more project or program based, please email Stephanie@PaperBarkBirch.com with details.

Our business partners support literacy, diversity, inclusion, representation, and banned books. PBB is a community for all parents and children in our area, as we navigate the journey of growing up in this amazing, digitally connected world!

I would like to feature PBB in our social media/in print/radio/television!

WOW! We’d love that! Please email Stephanie@PaperBarkBirch.com to discuss.

Our friends are always welcome to post pictures, reels, etc. to their own social media accounts. Please tag us!
